Tasks

This is a leadership sales role with significant responsibility for shaping Corona’s commercial success. As the Head of Business Development, you will lead a sales team of Senior Business Development Managers (SBDMs) to drive growth in the corporate business sector. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with end users and third-party intermediaries (TPIs), ensuring robust governance over operational risk, and strategic business development activities aligned with the company’s growth ambitions. -Manage weekly KPI reporting, budget tracking, and performance insights, highlighting potential risks to targets. -Maintain a full understanding of operational risks and ensure an incident-free working environment. -Ensure SBDM relationships are developed, maintained, and optimised for maximum profitability. -Continuously review and improve processes, identifying innovative solutions. -Ensure SBDMs manage the full process of contract transfer, ensuring documentation meets all SODA requirements. -Lead PMR processes and personal development plans for SBDMs. -Collaborate across all departments to support revenue growth, efficiency improvements, and escalation of key issues to the Leadership Team. -Provide interaction and support to Macquarie’s trading team. -Support the rollout of new products and services to the customer base. -Partner with the Head of Sales & Marketing to build proposals and market strategies that support company growth. -Lead and grow the corporate business sector in line with strategic targets. -Analyse P&L fluctuations, communicate drivers to the team, and act accordingly.

What You Bring

Located – Field Based with regular office visits to Watford or Coventry -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Strong relationship-building skills with a demonstrable history of success. -Ability to work to sales targets and manage budgets effectively. -Extensive account management experience. -A strong team player with proven leadership capability. -Gas and electricity market experience (essential). -Forward Thinking -Proven track record in high-level sales and business development. -Strong experience in sales process management.
