Tasks
-Utilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and analysis. -Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and proposal preparation. -Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of geotechnical investigations and analyses. -Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success. -Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. -Develop and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and project documentation. -Lead and manage the geotechnical engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship. -Stay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate them into practice. -Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess soil and rock conditions.

What You Bring
-Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (master’s or Ph.D. preferred). -Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. -Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design. -Demonstrated above-average technical capabilities and working knowledge of basic geotechnical software (LPILE, FB-DEEP, SPW911, SETTL3D, SLOPE/W etc). Geotechnical numerical modeling skills a definite plus. -Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. -Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. -Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. -Experience with business development and client relationship management is a plus. -Professional Engineer (PE) license required. (or ability to become registered in North Carolina within 3 months of hire).
