Tasks

-Researching and compiling project information for reporting, marketing, and funding requests. -Performing assignments that require the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria’s to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. -Exercising judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. -Assisting with community outreach duties as needed. -Assisting with field inspections to evaluate the work performed and materials used. -Preparing engineering related calculations and developing drawings and visual aids. -Helping in the preparation of reports, including monthly development reports. -Assisting with construction administration and documentation of deficiencies and deviations from plans. -Creating and maintaining centralized files for project records (including digital). -Having a clear understanding of the budget and assist in the creation of and adherence to project and development budgets. -Attending neighborhood, community, and project meetings. -Coordinating logistics and meetings for project managers. -Undertaking tasks as may be assigned by project managers.

What You Bring

-Highly organized with excellent time management skills. -Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test. -Prior internships involving Rail, Transit, and/or Water/Wastewater construction projects. -Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail. -Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders. -Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite. -Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. -Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management. -Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks. -This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. -Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
