Hydro Tester Operator

Overview

Operate hydro test equipment to ensure product quality and safety in steel tube production.

Tasks

-Oversee robotic operations and assist hydro team members during grooving processes as needed. -Track heat numbers and maintain accurate stenciling and tagging to meet customer and production requirements. -Maintain a clean, safe workspace and comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. -Retrieve and program stenciling data to ensure accuracy and consistency in labeling. -Operate hydro test machinery to verify product quality and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. -Communicate with shipping teams regarding material flow and inventory updates. -Monitor coating quality and ensure materials meet drying and handling standards before bundling. -Support training initiatives by cross-training others and participating in ongoing safety and skills programs. -Input grooving dimensions and maintain detailed production records for quality assurance purposes. -Perform preventative maintenance and submit accurate work orders for any necessary equipment repairs.

What You Bring

-Additional Qualifications: Self-motivated, safety-oriented, and able to follow Lockout/Tagout and other OSHA procedures. -Technical Skills: Basic computer and math skills; mechanical aptitude; familiarity with machine operation and maintenance. -Work performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery (within OSHA limits). -Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE). -Soft Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. -Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. -Ability to lift, stand, and move as needed for production activities.
