Tasks

-Technical Oversight: Provide expertise in a variety of projects, including but not limited to soil and groundwater remediation and design, vapor intrusion, mitigation system design/installation, contaminated site management, and emerging contaminant investigations (PFAS). -Mentorship: Guide and support engineers, geologists, and technical staff, fostering career development and in-house training. -Business Development: Leverage your local market knowledge and relationships to identify, pursue, and secure project opportunities. Collaborate with clients to build trust and expand S&ME's presence. -Lead Projects: Manage all phases of projects, including scoping, budgeting, execution, reporting, and client communication. -Field & Design Work: Oversee field investigations (drilling, sampling, data collection) and prepare design recommendations for complex or unusual site conditions.

What You Bring

-You have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological or Environmental Sciences, or a related technical field -You have a minimum of 8 years of professional environmental engineering experience -You have a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license required -Outdoor, hands-on work in all weather conditions -Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary -You have proven experience with soil and groundwater remediation/design, vapor intrusion, soil gas investigations, contaminated sites, and/or mitigation systems preferred -You have strong project management and leadership skills -You have excellent business development abilities, and existing client relationships in the local market are preferred
