Tasks
-Driving Technical Innovation: Drive progressive Alternative Technical Concept (ATC) development -Developing monthly portfolio performance reports -Participation in project reviews -Institutionalize the use of BIM throughout engineering staff -Ensure that Project Managers (PMs) and PDMs are following our Project Delivery Policies and the procedures in our Project Execution Manual (PEM) -Drive progressive Alternative Technical Concept (ATC) development -Project Operations: Ensure that Project Managers (PMs) and PDMs are following our Project Delivery Policies and the procedures in our Project Execution Manual (PEM) Achieve consistency in rigor of project kickoff meetings and ongoing risk management Participation in project reviews Developing/maintaining Risk and Opportunity logs; driving mitigations with PMs and PDMs Developing monthly portfolio performance reports Enhance project margin, quality, and overall delivery performance -Enhance project margin, quality, and overall delivery performance -Identify and mentor next generation PM candidates -Developing/maintaining Risk and Opportunity logs; driving mitigations with PMs and PDMs -Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. -Institutionalize the use of computer coding/programming to automate design and quality processes -PM Mentoring: Mentor existing PMs Identify and mentor next generation PM candidates -Driving Digital Innovation: Institutionalize the use of BIM throughout engineering staff Drive more sophisticated uses of BIM to enhance design and construction of complex projects Institutionalize the use of computer coding/programming to automate design and quality processes -Mentor existing PMs -Drive more sophisticated uses of BIM to enhance design and construction of complex projects

What You Bring
-Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. -Ability to foster a welcoming and nurturing environment for staff at all levels -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Proven success in developing and implementing structure and culture for Staff development Standardization Technical innovation Project delivery excellence Quality management -Bachelor’s degree in engineering -Achieve consistency in rigor of project kickoff meetings and ongoing risk management -NY Professional Engineer Registration, willing to obtain PE registration in other states -Able to work occasional overtime as required per project. -Proven project management and risk management expertise across a range of multidisciplinary project types and markets -15+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering -Experience serving as Chief Engineer for a public agency or AEC firm. -Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
