Tasks

-Regularly perform the various tasks described in the programs -Regularly checking completed maintenance logs in each department/home area of the home -Perform everything pertaining to maintenance including heavy duty related work -Inspect Life Safety equipment and systems -Ensure safe storage of maintenance equipment -Complete regular maintenance reports -Complete repairs as necessary including not limited to: Painting, wall repair, small leak, install (toilet, sink, tiling, doors, replace light fixtures, install blinds) -Coordinate annual preventive maintenance checks by contractors; and -Complete pre-start up assessments on a new equipment as applicable -Follow the home’s Preventive Maintenance Program as well as the Demand Maintenance Program -Check the operation of the mechanical equipment

What You Bring

-Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures. -Must be available for call ins on short notice -College level trade certificate is an asset -High School Diploma -Experience in electrical, plumbing, patchwork, painting preferred -Knowledgeable about WHMIS, OH & S -Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to read and write the English language.
