Tasks
-Maintain supplies, equipment, and tools. -Contribute to the continuous improvement of fabrication processes and workflows. -Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed. -Prepare working material by clamping or cutting. -Ensure the efficient utilization of resources to meet project deadlines. -Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. -Examine completed welds to ensure they are free of defects and are smooth and functional. -Provide leadership to the fabrication team, ensuring a cohesive and productive work environment. -Supervise, mentor, and motivate fabrication team members. -Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with engineering standards. -Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and timelines. -Observe and follow safety regulations. -Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality standards. -Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. -Manage the allocation of materials, equipment, and manpower for each project. -Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. -Incumbents will occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs. -Inspect materials, equipment, and tools. -Optimize resource usage to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. -Determine the required tool materials and welding methods. -Lead the fabrication team in executing engineering projects according to design specifications and project plans. -Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions. -Enforce and promote a culture of safety within the fabrication shop. -Assemble, install, and repair pipe components. -Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the fabrication process. -Address and rectify any deviations from quality requirements. -This position requires the incumbent to operate office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines and copiers. -Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.

-Excellent technical skills and the ability to interpret schematics. -Ability to respond in a flexible manner and to reprioritize work as the situation demands. -Excellent organizational skills and time management skills are necessary. -Working knowledge of AWS, API, ANSI, ASME codes and standards -Demonstrated ability to identify problems and work creatively in a team environment to resolve them. -The ability to provide superior service. -Exceptional communication skills -Incumbents will regularly experience periods of prolonged sitting, standing, walking, travel/drive a vehicle, and lift objects up to 25 lbs. -Knowledge and experience with welding equipment and processes -Self-Starter and the ability to keep moving forward with minimal direction. -Incumbents will constantly utilize written and verbal communication skills including active listening and speaking and reach and grasp objects. -Requires ongoing coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments or functional areas and clients for work production or service quality. -This position requires regular contact with employees on the fabrication floor and regular contact with client employees. -2-15 years pipe welding experience -3-5 years leading teams in a fabrication environment -Ability to trouble shoot and strong attention to detail. -Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. -This position would also require at times the ability to operate fabrication equipment to include the revolver pipe cutting table and a forklift. Onsite training will be provided for both. -High school diploma /GED
