The Role

Overview

Perform on-site material testing and documentation for construction projects.

Tasks

-Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects. -Prepare timely and accurate reports and documentation of field activities and testing results. -Work collaboratively with managers and other staff to ensure safety protocols are followed. -Frequently on the road and may remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. -May be required to stand for long periods of time and potentially engage in frequent bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting items in excess of 20lbs. -Clean, calibrate, maintain, and store testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. -Perform field materials testing on masonry and concrete and other construction materials in accordance with training and the specified procedures. -Perform occasional laboratory tests on concrete and CMU when required to support project objectives. -Perform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of test data. -Read and interpret construction specifications and drawings, and follow operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Maintains equipment in good working order and adheres to related calibration and storage.

What You Bring

-Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 70 pounds on a regular basis -Able to work under pressure and multitask -1-year minimum experience required. -Demonstrate excellent communication skills Software: Microsoft Office Suite -Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes -Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness of results required. -Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills -Driver's License Upon Hire Required -ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I within 120 Days preferred -Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and engage in frequent eye/hand/foot coordination. -Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions. -Demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions -High School or GED required, associate's degree preferred, No Bachelors required.
