Strategic Insights Analyst

Analyze market trends and provide strategic insights to guide HDR’s planning.

Tasks

-Analyze information related to construction activity, infrastructure investment, sustainability initiatives, population trends, funding programs, public sector initiatives, and client sectors (e.g., healthcare, education, transportation). -Conduct research on AEC industry trends, market opportunities, regulatory developments, evolving client needs, emerging technologies, and technological disruptions. -Stay current on industry news, emerging technologies, and best practices in research and analytics. -Evaluate, prioritize, and discern between credible and reliable sources for information and data gathering. -Track and measure progress on strategic plans and key action items. -Partner with business development and operations to uncover growth opportunities and deliver clear, actionable insights that minimize informational clutter. Conduct qualitative and quantitative research for competitive analysis (e.g. pricing trends, market share dynamics), market intelligence, and industry trends. -Assist with day-to-day administrative and project management tasks related to strategic initiatives. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align research insights with business development goals and strategic initiatives. -Organize and store information for future research projects. -Analyze internal and external data to identify patterns, opportunities, risks, and anticipate future possibilities. -Synthesize research findings and create/maintain concise and compelling reports, dashboards, visualizations and presentations that translate complex data into clear insights suitable for a variety of audiences. -Schedule and coordinate strategy sessions, workshops, and follow-ups.

What You Bring

-Understand and perform systems thinking to connect ideas across geographies, market sectors, and macro trends. -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. -Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. -Familiarity with CRM, ERP, and project management systems. -Experience with cloud platforms (Fabric, Azure, Palantir Foundry). -Familiarity with the AEC industry. -Detail-oriented with a passion for learning and problem-solving. -Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science/Statistics, Economics, or demonstrated related experience and/or education. -Experience with GIS tools or spatial data analysis. -5 years of work experience in strategy, market research, data science, or project management. -Experience with AI tools and platforms. -Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics and visualization tools. -Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret, summarize, and communicate complex information.
