Overview

Provides lab services, equipment upkeep, training, and R&D support for cement operations.

Tasks

-Contribute to the development of laboratory expertise as a lead facilitator for lab trainings. -Maintain accurate records, analyze data, and contribute to the interpretation of results. -Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment. -Develop, refine, and optimize lab standards, protocols, and compliance practices. -Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours. -Support research & development projects by performing experiments, analyzing data, and collaborating with research scientists. -Actively support laboratories in achieving Lab Mastery and ensuring compliance with industry standards. -Provide guidance and technical training to junior lab technicians, team members, and other laboratories. -Provide technical expertise for the development, refinement, and troubleshooting of relevant or novel methodologies.

What You Bring

-Excellent ability to identify and solve problems related to lab operations, equipment, or procedures. -Strong experience in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures and protocols. -Ability to analyze data, interpret results, and troubleshoot technical issue. -Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team. -Field of Study Preferred: Science or a related discipline -Capable of delivering effective training. -Required Work Experience: 10 years of related experience in a laboratory setting, materials lab preferred -Required Technical Skills: Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment, and procedures relevant to the specific fields of x-ray fluorescence (XRF), x-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) Travel Requirements: 10% -Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. -Education: Bachelor -Strong communication skills (both oral & written). -Expertise in Quality Control techniques and Analytical methods. -Knowledge of chemical and physical testing performed in cement industry.
