-The role will include the execution of complex and major programs, supporting complex proposals, mentoring junior staff, and therefore good communication skills are essential. -Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.

What You Bring

-A focused expertise on rock mechanics and rock engineering projects dealing with rock face stability, tunneling and underground excavations in rock, foundations, and rockfall hazards. -Proven experience in rock mechanics design and rock mass characterization. -The candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or geology with a postgraduate qualification in a geotechnical subject and have a minimum of 8 years’ pertinent experience. -The successful applicant will be a Geotechnical Engineer specializing in Rock Mechanics with a strong focus on the design and construction of shafts and tunnels. -Candidates should have the right flare and ability that will help us develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capability by building on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding, flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors. -Professional Engineering License (P.Eng) in Ontario or eligibility to obtain. -Valid driver’s license. -Demonstrate innovation and maintain awareness of emerging technologies and advanced techniques. -A willingness to travel on short assignments both within Ontario and nationwide. -As a Rock Mechanics specialist, your input and expertise will be vital in supporting and developing our wider Geohazards and Engineering Geomorphology Team across Canada. -Strong project management and client relationship skills.
