The Role

Overview

Tasks

-May assist more senior scientists/engineers/geologists on large, more complex projects. -Assess environmental risks and determine the need for further investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. -Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery. -Evaluates moderately complex laboratory and field data and assembles in written reports. -Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. -Responsible for developing written proposals to clients for approval by senior level professionals. -Implements technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities. -May oversee work performed by lower level scientists/engineers, geologists, and technicians. -May serve as team member and participate in meetings and communications with client pertaining to specific projects/tasks. -Works under the supervision of a Professional Geologist (PG) and a Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer. -Performs site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years’ related experience. -Proficiency in Phase I ESAs, including completing proposals, conducting site visits, identifying Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs), and communicating findings to clients. -Demonstrate quality practices and acumen. -Proficient Scientific Professional/Geologist responsible for conducting site testing and making recommendations for systems design on smaller projects of minimal complexity. -Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or related field and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience. -Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history. -Demonstrate expertise in ASTM E1527-21 standards and regulatory frameworks governing environmental site assessments. -Certification in field of expertise required.
