Tasks

-Conduct thorough inspections of utility construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. -Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for utility works. -Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that utility components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover. -Coordinate with the construction teams to ensure smooth execution of utility works, such as water supply networks, sewer systems, drainage systems, and electrical installations. -Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with utility works. -Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks. -Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track. -Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.

What You Bring

-Proactive problem-solving abilities and ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances. -Minimum of 10 years of experience in utility construction inspection, with at least 5 years in an inspection role for large-scale infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, water supply networks, and sewer systems. -Knowledge of AutoCAD and other utility design software. -Familiarity with international construction standards and local codes, particularly in the Middle East or GCC. -Strong understanding of utility construction standards, codes, and regulations. -Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. -Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check construction work for accuracy and compliance. -Fluent in English with excellent communication skills. -Ability to multitask and manage multiple inspection activities simultaneously. -Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects at the same time. -Proficient in MS Office and inspection reporting software.
