Lead and produce flood risk assessments & related documents for major water projects.

Tasks

-Lead: Mentor staff within the team to support their professional development. -Deliver: Lead & verify the production of documents such as flood risk assessments, strategic flood risk assessments, flood risk activity permits, Section 19 reports, and water resource chapters of EIAs. -Collaborate: Build strong relationships with clients and across technical discipline teams to ensure we successfully deliver a wide range of fluvial, coastal, surface water or drainage flood risk management projects. -Quality: Keep up-to-date with developments in legislation and guidelines that may affect our services; and use AECOM’s project management systems to deliver high-quality outputs to our clients in line with the agreed programme and budget. -Expertise: Lead input into tenders for complex and high-profile projects like nationally significant infrastructure projects.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline. -Experience and understanding of hydraulic modelling as an evidence base to flood risk assessments / activity permits. -Professional chartered member of CIWEM or ICE. -Significant experience in technically leading teams in the production of flood risk assessments and/or flood risk activity permits. -Strong track record of project management, following the principles of the NEC suite of contracts. -FCERM appraisal, water cycle study and water framework directive assessment experience would be beneficial, but not essential.
