The Role

Overview

Supervise commercial HVAC sheet metal installation and coordinate trades

Tasks

-Installing, hangers, ductwork, setting curbs, helping with crane picks, demo or cleaning site. -Enforces quality standards -Daily and weekly direction for crews -Sets daily and weekly installation goals -Coordinates ductwork with other trades, i.e., plumbing, piping, framers, steel, fire sprinklers, etc. -Moderates safety meetings -Enforces CMS policies and procedures -Review daily time cards -Enforces code compliance -Enforces disciplinary measures as needed -Daily work activities include: sitting, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, digging, and ascending and descending ladders and scaffolding constantly throughout the work day. -Supervises installation of all duct, duct accessories, equipment, and related material -Responsibility for entire duct detailing function. -Project meetings record -Weekly job site meetings -Daily communication with general contractor and CMS operations team -Order sheet metal materials as necessary to meet the project schedule -Coordinates all duct deliveries with shop -May study schedules and estimate requirements for completion of job. Analyze and resolves work problems -Documentation of communication with general contractor -Daily inspections for installation, safety -Checks all deliveries for accuracy and completeness -Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications and CMS requirements. -Determines crew size and hours worked -Coordinates equipment delivery with project manager/engineer and general contractor -Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling, and installing sheet metal products

What You Bring

-Extensive knowledge of local building codes. -Must have the ability to layout a duct system from a blueprint and set elevations. -Safety talk record -Physical requirements: Able to lift, push, pull and twist up to 50 lbs throughout the workday. Work overhead, climb ladders, work on uneven surfaces for extended periods of time. -Should have experience with the following duct work: TDF, Pittsburgh and snap lock construction, TDC, Duct mate, 22mm, 35mm,S & D, Spiral, Duct Board Fiberglass, FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic ductwork) -Minimum of five years commercial experience. -Basic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements as outlined in company policy.
