Tasks

-Open communication with partners and team, along with growing and directing a Transportation Planning practice. -Provide practice vision, business planning and strategy, establishing goals, building and maintaining positive client relationships. -Lead project outreach activities including guiding the direction of public engagement, giving presentations, meeting with community members, businesses, and organizations to explain the project scope, impacts, benefits, mitigations, etc. -Mentor and develop staff, provides leadership in an environment that encourages teamwork, initiative, and growth. -Assist clients with program management, capital planning, and policy development. -Provide high quality deliverables with exceptional client service -Manage projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model. -Manage the planning, production, and delivery of transportation planning projects, including: -Be a leader in a growing, multidisciplinary transportation planning practice.

What You Bring

-MPO studies, including Long Range Transportation Plans (LRTPs) -Pedestrian and bicycle studies -Parking and curbside management studies -Bachelors Degree or higher in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or related -Registered American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and/or P.E. in Tennessee (or the ability to obtain reciprocity within one year) -Local and regional experience preferred -8+ years of years of transportation planning and traffic engineering experience -Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work. -Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
