  • This role is critical for building and maintaining Mott MacDonald’s relationships with our clients, planning the client accounts, and building a client centric experience. The Market Leader will be expected to win great work, maximizing opportunity for Mott MacDonald, and be accountable for the delivery of excellent projects.
  • Support larger pursuits and projects in other geographical locations, from a technical and project management perspective.
  • Provide top quality input into proposals and into business development efforts to build Mott MacDonald’s reputation.
  • Evaluate the business potential and build business cases; develop small and large transportation projects.
  • Establish and nurture an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture where results are driven by a total team effort.
  • Act as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald. Articulate and represent the brand, vision, and value proposition internally and externally.
  • Grow, nurture, and strengthen external relationships and build and maintain strong networks with key clients, business partners and competitors, driving joint initiatives where appropriate and using these networks to influence, close deals and impact the growth and direction of the business.

  • Self-directed with ability to work well / seamlessly with a larger team, including outside experts (e.g., financial, legal, regulatory, etc.) but with an entrepreneurial style.
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the transportation market.
  • PE license is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in the development of rail infrastructure projects in the LA area.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relatable major and preferably a master’s degree.
  • Direct experience with project management and business development.
