What You Bring
-Possess a knowledge of electrical and system studies required for plant designs -Knowledge of electrical design, materials, and methods of construction in power systems -General knowledge of solar plant SCADA requirements and design -Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) as it relates to utility scale power plants is a plus -Comfortable traveling cross-country to perform site visits and provide technical support to construction teams -Possess a general knowledge of civil designs including road design, plant grading design, drainage design, and permitting coordination -Familiar with utility scale solar project designs including single line drawings, civil, structural, electrical site plans, DC and AC wiring diagrams and equipment layouts -Have experience with substation design review and coordination at medium voltages (usually 34.5 kV) to point of interconnect -Have direct and relevant experience with the latest solar and battery storage equipment including solar panels, inverters/transformers, racking systems and battery systems -Solar electrical systems background -Minimum 3 years’ experience in the solar construction industry or direct engineering managements on solar construction projects - solar experience is required -Must have great attitude in working with the Moss team -Ability to develop, review, and approve engineering scope of work documents for external engineering partners -Understand the construction applications of solar power plant design, including PV string sizing, DC and AC conductor and conduit sizing, and racking/tracker design and powering -Good communications and presentation skills including the ability to organize and present complex technical information effectively in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint -Highly organized and able to multi-task multiple projects at once -Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, or related discipline
