Tasks

-Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various subcontract management tasks and the Standard Work Process Procedures applicable to Subcontract Management -Receives bids and evaluates bids commercially -Forms bid request packages and issues bid request packages to approved bidders -Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned -Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating with customer personnel and obtaining settlement -Manages assigned subcontracts maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties -Directs negotiation in the commitment of subcontracts -After reviewing plan and agenda with supervisor, conducts meeting and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules -Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions -Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, subcontract performance, and other major matters -Conforms and ensures subcontract execution -Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders -Prepares subcontract documents for execution -Recommends and secures approvals in accordance with established procedures -Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel, the customer and contractor on all contractual matters -Prepares Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of engineering/construction industry contracting practices, applicable commercial regulations and practices, and Bechtel policies, procedures and work practices. -Skill in working and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, with other project functional groups. -Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience -Knowledge of contract management for multi-disciplinary firms for major infrastructure projects.
