Overview

Inspect structural components, welding, coating; ensure compliance and quality.

Tasks

-Identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved. -Liaise with client and third party inspectors as needed -Complete all associated documentation; quality control reports, weld mapping, coating reports and turnover documents -Monitor and record parts and heat numbers throughout fabrication and installation -Review of Material Test Reports -Inspecting buildings and structures at various construction stages to ensure code compliance -Collaborate with construction on continuous improvement initiatives -Control of turnover documentation provided by subcontractors throughout the project -Welding inspection

-Experience with NDE Processes -Ability to work within strict deadlines and under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor -Ability to read and interpret client, industry, CSA standards and specifications -Excellent communicator: excellent written and oral communications skills -Experience with Structural Welding Procedures and Processes -Proficient with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Bluebeam -CSA W178.2 W59 level 2 certification and experience with structural steel -Witness bolt up -Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints
