Tasks

-Responsible for magnetron product development related activities at Saint-Gobain Research India -Participate in lab activities and implementation of 5S -Carry out projects independently or in collaboration with competency teams, universities, or research organization to develop understanding of deposition condition vs material-property correlation and overall impact on multi-layer thin film -Support competency teams/PLs in NPD projects, different studies etc. -Develop techniques for evaluating performance such as chemical, mechanical durability of thin film

What You Bring

-Global mindset, ability to work with cross functional teams and closely working with competency teams -PhD in Material Science Engg/ Physics/solid-state chemistry with 3-5 years of experience -Understanding of vacuum plasma deposition processes, optical materials, multilayer material characterization, will be advantageous -Experience in solid state chemistry of thin film is desirable -Optical thin film characterization and modelling -Willing to travel on need basis to manufacturing plants and R&D centers across the globe (upto 30%)
