Tasks

-Provide thoughtful code reviews, share best practices, and help foster a backend culture of quality, pragmatism, and continuous improvement -Optimize application logic, database queries, and system performance to handle increasing workloads with speed and efficiency -Work closely with product, design, and AI teams to deliver backend solutions that support intuitive, AI-enhanced user experiences -Spearhead improvements in infrastructure and deployment strategies using tools like Kubernetes, Traefik, and AWS. Help us move fast without breaking things -Design and implement scalable APIs, services, and data pipelines that support mission-critical workflows. Ensure reliability, maintainability, and security across all systems -Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability systems that empower the team to ship with confidence and clarity

What You Bring

-Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you’re quick to adapt to changing priorities and balance rapid iteration with high-quality outputs -Strong experience with Node.js, Python, TypeScript, and SQL -Bachelor's degree (or similar) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field -7+ years in backend development, with a proven track record of building scalable, high-performance applications -Experience building and mantaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring production systems run reliably at scale -Deep knowledge of cloud-based architectures, especially on AWS -Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Traefik, containerization, and distributed systems -Experience optimizing API performance and database queries, reducing latency and ensuring seamless data flow between backend and frontend
