Operate CNC plasma cutter and fabricate HVAC ductwork in a prefabrication shop.

Tasks

-Use various fabrication tools and machines including shears, roll formers, Pittsburgh, TDC, and slip rolls. -Inspect and finish ductwork components; perform grinding, deburring, and apply insulation or lining as needed. -Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and shop tickets to determine cutting and fabrication requirements. -Fabricate and assemble HVAC ductwork (rectangular, spiral, fittings), ensuring proper sealing and compliance. -Maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow safety procedures and attend regular safety meetings. -Operate CNC plasma cutting tables (e.g., Vulcan or similar) to cut galvanized, stainless, or aluminum sheet metal.

What You Bring

-Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving for extended periods. -Experience operating standard sheet metal fabrication equipment. -2+ years of experience with CNC plasma cutting tables in a sheet metal or HVAC environment. -Familiarity with SMACNA standards is preferred. -Proficiency in basic math and use of measuring tools. -HS Diploma or equivalent is the minimum required education for this position. -Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately.
