Tasks

-Performs structural analysis and design of bridges and other structures using industry-standard analysis and design software programs -Assists in preparing and modifying reports, studies, preliminary designs, and detailed designs with all phases of bridge design -Plan creation, design, and checking for conventional bridge projects -Assists in the preparation of quantity take-offs/calculations, preconstruction unit cost development, and cost estimates/engineer’s estimates for projects

What You Bring

-B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program -Possess Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer license -Proven technical writing and communication skills -Excellent interpersonal skills, including organization and attention to detail -Have working knowledge in design of concrete, steel, concrete masonry, and timber as well as spread and pile foundations and retaining/sheet pile walls -Have working knowledge using MicroStation and LEAP bridge design software -Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in bridge design -A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position -Have working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
