The Role
Overview
Ensure safety program compliance and promote incident-free culture at data center projects.

Tasks
-Ensure task-based training is in place for all team members on AP jobsites. -Verify SDS and Health and Safety Manuals are available on site. -Present the site specific training topics including safety orientation program for all new project team members. -Perform safety inspections on projects at a designated frequency. Instruct and train field workers in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions to eliminate hazards. -Maintain a program that encourages safe behavior for all team members and reinforces the achievement of safety goals and objectives. -Monitor the return-to-work process for injured team members to minimize the impact of an injured team member returning to a jobsite. -Ensure compliance with corporate, State, and Federal regulations and guidelines regarding occupational safety and health -Monitor site safety communications to maintain training effectiveness (signage, toolbox talks, site safety committee meetings, etc.). -Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, and Owners to ensure compliance with various safety policies -Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. -Participate in onsite OSHA consultation -Provide effective communication with onsite safety personnel to ensure injuries are managed appropriately (return to work, light duty, etc.). -Assist in the incident investigation process utilizing root cause methods and implementation of identified corrective actions. -Work with the safety and project management team to monitor the project’s safety program and communicate findings. -Assist in the development of safety plans for high risk/unique work -Collaborate with other team members to implement and maintain the project site specific safety program. -In coordination with leadership, provide assistance for onsite worker’s compensation needs.

What You Bring
-History of experience and proven results including: -Ability and willingness to travel. -Competent in the following areas: excavation, trenching, fall protection, confined space, silica and scaffolding, rigging & signaling -Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. -Willingness to work in various (sometimes extreme) climate conditions. -First Aid/CPR/AED certification -Ability to drive to the core of complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback. -STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction) Certificate or ability to obtain within their first 6 months of employment -Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously under time constraints. -2-4 years minimum experience in a construction safety role as a title safety professional or safety related degree -OSHA 30 and/or OSHA 510 certification preferred -Experience conducting safety trainings. -Working knowledge of EHS standards, industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate such standards to others -Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards. -Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
