Overview

Lead design and integration of vessel navigation/communication systems from concept to delivery.

Tasks

-Validate subcontractor system designs to ensure they meet current classification rules. -Apply Systems Engineering methodologies to produce accurate, auditable data and documentation aligned with procedural requirements. -Conduct detailed requirement analysis of relevant sections of the Technical Specification to ensure compliance and clarity. -Design and integrate Class-approved systems with client requirements and supplied components. -Develop comprehensive requisition documents that clearly define design elements and system interfaces. -Define and manage interface requirements across subsystems to ensure correct integration between connected equipment, especially when multiple subcontractors are involved.

What You Bring

-A solid understanding of IP CCTV systems and networking. -A solid understanding of RF signal propagation and interference concepts and ability to do aerial arrangements. -Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics/Mechatronics). -Experience working within a similar position, designing the elements of all navigation and communication systems on vessels. -A solid understanding of electronic systems and system integration concepts. -A solid understanding of mandatory IMO Navigation and Communication systems. -A solid understanding of Production methods and the practical application of design.
