The Role

Overview

Coordinate design consultants, secure approvals, manage technical drawings and site support.

Tasks

-Ensure that working drawings are in accordance with the approved Planning Scheme and ensure discharge of planning and building control conditions. To monitor and control all production information in close liaison with the Commercial Department to ensure tight cost controls are kept and information produced in line with budget estimates. -Issuing drawings and information for construction purposes. -Respond to site queries and resolve Technical/Construction problems. -Attend and present at meetings for various stages of projects (Land/Technical hand-over, Project Meeting, Optimisation, Progression, Technical/Sales, Budget Meetings, etc.) -Monitor and control the Professional Fees budget and update fee reports on monthly basis. -Ensure all statutory enquiries, sewer connections and other relevant legal agreements are submitted and pursued for timely completion. -Oversee the NHBC/Building Regulations applications to approval. -Assist in the preparation of Design Programmes with an ability to present at Progression Meetings. -Ensure that the Group Policy and Procedures are fully managed and controlled. -Attend site progress meetings and carry out site inspection. -Brief, manage and drive the external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme, fee and scope. -Obtaining Technical Drawings and approvals to enable efficient site starts. -Oversee preparation and approval of Brochure Plans, Conveyance Plans and Sales Area drawings. -Minimising risk through provision of timely and high-quality information. -Attend Subcontractor interviews and meetings where appropriate.

What You Bring

-Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. -The ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner. -A working knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC, Party Wall Awards and associated legislation connected with the construction industry. -The ability to get on with people together with communication, meeting and management skills essential in dealing with multi-disciplined teams. -A competent level of relevant IT skills including using AutoCAD/Revit. -Qualified as a Civil / Building Engineer or at a Construction related degree level or have attained HNC/HND in a built environment subject with relevant experience -Excellent communicator at all different levels, internally and externally, with a high attention to detail. -Good technical knowledge of both house and apartment construction.
