Overview

Design mechanical layouts for switchgear, create CAD models, and support production.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for all design files and drawings. -Design and develop mechanical layouts and assemblies for switchgear, switchboards, and related systems. -Manage time effectively to meet project schedules and deadlines for customer approval drawings, BOM release, and production support. -Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing capabilities. -Provide hands-on factory floor support to resolve design, fit, or assembly issues during production. -Create and revise detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using Autodesk or similar 3D CAD software and AutoCAD 2D. -Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical and electrical integration of components. -Participate in R&D projects, contributing to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives. -Communicate effectively across departments, supporting smooth project execution and timely delivery.

What You Bring

-Troubleshoot design and fabrication challenges with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. -Minimum of 2 years of experience with a switchgear manufacturer. -At least 3 years of experience in mechanical design. -Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor or equivalent, and AutoCAD 2D.
