Tasks

-demonstrate Health, Safety Wellbeing and Integrity throughout all your actions, and promote sustainable approaches. in line with the company’s polices (e.g. social/environmental enhancements, carbon reduction etc.) -participate in developing a network for business development and provide technical inputs in bids as required. -check the work of others; -manage and direct more junior staff and coach junior staff in technical matters; -implement projects using digital engineering/3D design and applying BIM;

What You Bring

-A minimum of 5 years’ experience of technical delivery of fluvial and/ or coastal flood defence schemes (or equivalent) -have site experience as Contractor or Designer; -be able to plan your own time, be organised and meet deadlines; -be familiar with design and construction contracts and construction processes -have experience of preparing technical project reports including feasibility studies, option appraisal reports and business cases; -Chartered or nearly Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) -Bachelor’s (essential) and Master’s degree (desirable) in Civil Engineering or equivalent -have experience of preparing detailed designs and Works Information packages for river and/or coastal structures; -have experience of developing successful river engineering and/or coastal projects; -have excellent written and verbal communication skills; -have experience of leading design teams; -have the ability to work effectively and be persuasive in a multi-functional project team; -have a good understanding of hydraulics, geotechnics, structures and materials;
