Tasks

-Lead the estimating and tendering process for M&E packages -Prepare cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender submissions -Work closely with the directors to develop pricing strategies and improve internal processes -Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and value engineering -Oversee project financial performance and profitability -Manage commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle (procurement, valuations, variations, final accounts)

We’re working with a small but established M&E contractor who are looking for an experienced Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their team and take a leading role in pricing and delivering projects. This is a hands-on position for someone confident working autonomously and taking ownership of both pre- and post-contract duties. The business delivers a range of mechanical and electrical projects and is looking for someone who can bring commercial rigour, technical understanding, and the drive to help take the company to the next level. -Background in M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) contracting — ideally from a subcontractor or main contractor -Strong understanding of JCT and NC contracts -Excellent communication and organisational skills -Able to thrive in a small business environment with direct responsibility and visible impact -Confident in managing tenders and commercial delivery independently
