Tasks
-Provide Senior Project Management services for sustained growth of the Greater Houston Transportation service-line. Help maintain and enhance teaming relationships and opportunities with other firms, in coordination with the Houston Business Development Manager and VP Business Development Central Region. -Support all aspects of company policies, protocols and procedures that include human resources, information technology, accounting, marketing, and health and safety. -Learn Atlas QA/QC procedures to ensure the quality of services and deliverables including designs, engineering reports, layouts, schematics, plans & specifications, and cost estimates. Oversee project adherence to QA/QC guidelines. -Meet with clients regularly to review project performance and sustain a feedback loop that results in continuous improvement of our services to clients. -Manage budgets and invoicing to achieve healthy financial project profitability. Develop a complete understanding of the Atlas accounting system for project management. -Contribute to the successful development, planning, and execution of the business strategy in collaboration with the VP Business Development Central Region and other leaders within Atlas. -Market to existing and potential clients to identify and obtain Transportation contracts such TxDOT and other major pursuits. Work with Houston Business Development Manager to provide pertinent technical responses to TxDOT, and various local County and City RFQ's. This includes assisting marketing staff with marketing packages, proposal preparation, proposal review, presentations, and marketing meetings. -Provide Senior Project Management services (such as oversight and leadership) for major roadway schematic and PS&E type projects. This includes active participation in projects and providing oversight to production coordination (planning, organizing, directing, and controlling schedules and deadlines), financial management (budgets, invoicing, and collections), marketing, and personnel. -Travel to Atlas offices, client office, and project locations will be required as needed. -Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

-TxDOT roadway design project engineering and management experience. -Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. -Strong business development, team building and operational skills. -Be self-motivated to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines. -Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a group, manage schedules, and monitor project budgets to achieve department performance goals. -Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. -Engineer with a BSCE and Texas Professional Engineering (P.E.) License. -Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in roadway design PS&E. -Motivation to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines. -Strong written/verbal skills.
