Tasks

The position’s primary focus will be to lead the procurement for Battery Energy Storage (BESS), PV/BESS Inverters and High Voltage (GSU, MVT and Circuit Beaker) Equipment. The ideal candidate is expected to possess product technical knowledge and market intel along with the commercial expertise to support the outlined equipment scope for utility scale BESS and PV projects. The Senior Associate, Procurement will support Arevon’s +10 GWh development and 1 GWh operating BESS portfolio. The selected candidate will report to the Technical Procurement Manager and have cross functional interaction with Development, Origination, Engineering, Construction, M&A, and Operations teams. -Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with equipment, technical requirements, project timelines and cost targets. -Build and maintain strategic relationships with equipment and services suppliers. -Manage risk by identifying supply chain constraints, geopolitical issues and lead times for major equipment. -Develop pricing, BESS augmentation, supply chain due diligence and key commodities forecast models to drive business decisions. -Attend industry events and conferences to gather policy and market intelligence. -Develop equipment assumptions and bid strategies for M&A and greenfield projects. -Conducting manufacturing facility site visits to witness production and equipment testing. -Collaborate with engineering and project teams to influence equipment specifications, identify value engineering opportunities, and manage lead times. -Lead technology evaluation and benchmarking of BESS, Inverters and HV equipment to align with Arevon’ s Approved Vendor List requirements.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is a must (Power BI, Tableau, and/or other data visualization platforms considered an asset). -Comprehensive understanding of technical and commercial aspects of BESS, Inverter and HV equipment. -BS degree in engineering required (electrical engineering preferred). -Understand risk profile for BESS, Inverter and HV equipment contracts to support contracts team in negotiating favorable commercial terms and conditions (pricing, payment terms, performance guarantees, warranty, delivery schedule, etc.) -3-4 years of utility-scale BESS/PV experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience. -Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. -Working knowledge of applicable standards (UL, IEEE, IEC) for BESS, Inverter and HV equipment preferred. -Proficiency in supply chain management and procurement principles.
