Tasks
-Comply with company policies and procedure -Providing for safety and security of the workplace -Ensure that all corporate and operational reports are submitted accurately and timely -Report to Division/Corporate Office/Community daily and adhere to schedule -Accountable for accuracy of financial reports for assigned entities and subsidiaries -Lead team in ensuring that accounting, control, audit and administrative duties are performed effectively and efficiently -Ensure that financial information is accurately developed, analyzed and reported to management -Support all other functional areas by providing financial assistance and senior level consultation when needed -Determining work techniques; -Determining the types of equipment to be used in performing work, or materials needed; -Interviewing, selecting, and training employees; -Appraising productivity; handling employee grievances or complaints, or disciplining employees; -Ensure that divisional strategic and financial goals are competently developed/projected and achieved -Monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance; -Setting rates of pay and hours of work; -Drive reporting timelines - Direct preparation of accurate forecasts, project budgets and division budgets on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis -Manage, motivate and develop Finance and Closing/Contracts staff -Assist in the management of information system issues and concerns that impact Finance/Closing/Contracts -Planning budgets for work; -Planning the work; -Developing Direct Reports and Others -Ensure the adherence to corporate financial policies and procedures within the division

What You Bring
-Business Acumen -Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time -Ability to operate a motor vehicle -Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA required -Ability to oversee direct reports daily and provide guidance as needed -8+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting working for a public or private homebuilder -Taylor Morrison experience and/or successful completion of training program may override required education and/or experience requirement. -Advanced proficiency with finance and accounting systems and software, including Excel -Proven track record of successfully managing and training accounting/finance personnel -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required -Ability to have face to face conversations with customers, co-workers and higher level manager -The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds -Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer and/or electronic device -Knowledge of cost accounting in the homebuilding/construction industry required -Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and move around work environment as needed
