Tasks

Lead structural and mechanical engineering design projects from concept through to manufacturing. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will take the lead in designing and developing cutting-edge ROV trenching Conduct FMECA, HAZOP, HAZID and safety by design reviews. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project specifications are met efficiently. Conduct design reviews and simulations to validate concepts and improve designs. Welding and plating design, including design for machining, limits and fits. Prepare detailed engineering calculations to support design decisions. systems and components. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that project specifications are met, and designs are executed efficiently. Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT). Check and approve hand calculations & FEA, including plates and shells, and beam element STAAD pro. Create detailed technical drawings and design documentation using 2D and 3D CAD software Oversee structural analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and power transmission systems and Develop specifications and concepts that align with user needs and project goals. Ensure the suitability of designs for subsea and harsh environments, considering material science, Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations throughout the design process.

What You Bring

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MathCAD and Inventor) is (preferably AutoCAD, MathCAD and Inventor). Proficient with Free body diagrams for multi-body linkages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Stress analysis, including beam theory, strength of materials. Previous experience of producing welding, machining and assembly Good organisational skills. Ability to use own initiative and work flexibly. Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Working knowledge of DNV design codes for lifting appliances and Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
