Tasks

-Design and manage multi-disciplinary urban development project. -Can contribute to bids and proposals to win work. -Develop Spatial Planning and regional planning analysis and concepts using the ArcGIS , 3D and digital mediums. -Ensure the team is aware of the design standards, codes and compliances of countries within the ME region and the same are complied to, in the Design. -Set out / agree design standards and parameters with senior team members. -Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost. -Carry out and review research, data collection and spatial analysis to support development strategies. -Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated forward looking master plans. -Be aware of the effect of delivery time on financial performance and proactively manage time, resources and budget on a project. -Check the work of team members and ensure the quality of deliverables meet the AtkinsRéalis standards of delivery and client expectations. -Work to a program for the project and proactively advise Senior team members of any issue which affects the efficient completion of the project. -Lead Middle East projects with complete design and delivery ownership reporting to Practice Lead. -Liaise with clients and stakeholders for positive project outcomes. -Candidates should be able to assign work to junior team (urban designers, Urban planners ),GIS Analysts , BIM/CAD technologists and administrative staff. -Draft technical reports , presentations and contractual documents, of acceptable technical and presentation quality with minimum guidance. -Use GIS , Analytical, and AI based tools to support assessments, and visual storytelling. -Take ownership and lead, small to medium Urban Planning projects and work packages under the supervision of Senior Urban Planners /Practice Leads. -Being responsible for production of drawings, graphics, models and reports through Baseline Assessment to Implementation stages.

What You Bring

-International experience of the UK, the ME or the APAC regions will be considered an added advantage. -Must be proficient in AutoCAD, GIS(QGIS or ArcGIS), Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, MS Office, Advanced Excel, Sketch up and Google Pro. Experience with AI Based or data visualisation tools. -Able to discuss career goals and aspirations. -Must be conversant of the evolving standards of the profession primarily with respective to collaborative and multi-disciplinary design. -5-8 years of Professional Working experience in Spatial Planning, Regional Planning /Master planning Projects, in a reputed firm. Middle East experience will be an added advantage. -A master’s degree in urban planning / Urbanism from universities of National and International repute is a must. Bachelor’s degree in architecture is preferred. -Must have good experience delivering Spatial Planning, Regional Planning, Urban Planning projects. -Experienced in coordination with client and other consultants. -Can cross- over through design thinking between the three disciplines of the practice on large scale projects. -Successful in identifying and following through on leads/suggestions associated with additional work prospects on the projects they are involved with. -Demonstrate initiative and basic leadership skills to give directions in a small work group. -Have a logical and organized approach to project delivery and able to follow instructions and guidance by senior team members. -Must be very proficient in design with strong conceptual principles, spatial analytical skills, good design skills, good presentation and graphical skills. -Working knowledge of standard regulations and best practice principles, with strong problem-solving skills. -Use business related software like ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Adobe Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), etc., independently with ability to work with team members. -Capable of working on own initiative or as part of a larger multidisciplinary team. Must display capabilities to lead a team, hold a meeting, and interact with client. -Willingness to share information and knowledge with team members. -Chartered candidates shall have an added advantage. -The individual will be required to travel at times to the different AtkinsRéalis’ offices and sites globally and interface with the team based there. -Working knowledge and keenness to explore digital innovation, coding, Ai software and further prototyping competencies will be considered an added advantage. -Demonstrate strategic thinking to expand the Strategic planning / Master Planning business across different regions in the ME. -Able to identify and communicate concerns of the project/team to immediate Line Manager. -Ability to work and crossover into all interrelated disciplines of Planning, Landscape & Urban Design. -Willing to undertake and where required lead interdisciplinary technical co-ordination. -Showing commitments to raising design standards, improving your skills, keeping up with the latest technical and digital developments and with the field of urbanism generally. -Candidates should demonstrate competency in softwares, clear communications skills to gain understanding of the required tasks, quick and a methodical decision-making approach for the design & related tasks. -Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
