Tasks

-Project management and engineering lead for wastewater collections system evaluation and design projects. -Support and lead client action and capture plans for specific clients or opportunities. -Support and lead proposal efforts for municipal water/wastewater contracts and/or projects. -Participate in water/wastewater organizations including presenting at conferences to expand Dewberry’s brand in the water market. -Client management of key municipal water/wastewater clients. -Support and/or prepare task order proposals for on-call engineering contracts. -Mentorship of younger engineers and project managers in water/wastewater design, project management, and client management.

What You Bring

-Strong leadership qualities and ability to coach and mentor junior and mid-level staff. -B.S. degree in Civil Engineering field is required; M.S. degree preferred. -At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization. -Only recipients of an offer of employment from Dewberry, will be required to submit to a background screening which may include, but is not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, driving record check, criminal background check, and an investigative consumer report. These screenings will be conducted by Dewberry’s background vendor of choice and will be conducted in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law. -25 + years’ experience of increasing levels of project and client responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects. -A minimum of 10 years’ project management and technical staff supervision experience. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Strong client retention and new business development skills. -A successful track record of building water/wastewater client relationships in Northern Virginia ’s water/wastewater market, particularly high-profile regional clients. -A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget. -A Professional Engineering license is required.
