Overview

Procure solar equipment, manage suppliers, and ensure timely delivery for projects.

Tasks

-Purchase items and services at the most favorable price consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements, and other factors -Propose purchase transactions that higher authority approve prior to final action -Visit job sites or offices quarterly at a minimum to develop more effective working relationships -Align buyout with budget (Supplier relations) -Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Manage Agreements (Supplier relations) -Ensure schedule is met (Supplier relations) -Arrange returns for unacceptable products to suppliers -Manage procurement risks -Create and maintain catalogs for each operating group or project that is supported -Driving contract execution -Enter purchase orders and retain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of material on a timely basis -Track order status from the time of placing the order until delivery and communicate status to project teams -Quoting/Supplier Selection (Cost and schedule competitive)

What You Bring

-Current driver's license -Knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and materials, purchasing processes, and procedures -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -2 years of procurement experience. -Negotiating, organizing, planning, verbal, and communication skills -Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience -Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback -Strong customer service and analytical skills -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Software experience -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
