Tasks
-Conduct site visits to assess the execution of the Safety Management System. -Assist Talent Management in conducting safety training specific to transportation operations management. -Ensure safety documentation is organized and filed at the jobsite. -Promote and be a steward of the organization's Incident and Injury Free (IIF) and Core Values. -Provide effective safety coaching, counseling, and advice to Operations Management to ensure a safe work environment. -Provide subject matter expertise in safety, implementing effective internal and external practices. -Participate in Root Cause Analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented. -Identify and schedule necessary training, ensuring toolbox talks are relevant. -Conduct mini-gap analyses on safety policies and recommend changes for continuous improvement. -Assist in preparation for monthly Craft Voice In Safety (CVIS) meetings and drive continuous improvement in corrective actions. -Implement Safety Systems and Processes for new project start-ups. -Support Project Teams in developing safe execution plans. -Review subcontractors' safety programs to ensure compliance with Project Safety Program requirements. -Assign and communicate safety program expectations to project employees. -Travel to multiple projects within the region to provide operations support. -Act as a safety motivator for management and employees, ensuring safety is integrated into the work culture.

What You Bring
-People-oriented personality with aptitude to promote safety programs -3-5 years of direct experience in Construction Safety and Occupational Health -CST Certification -OSHA 500 certification -Knowledge of construction safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements -Professional Certificate (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST & CUSP) -Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills -Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 -Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline -Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team -Good attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies -Experience in Electrical Construction or GC Safety -Ability to identify safety hazards and recommend corrective actions -Strong organizational and time management skills
