Tasks

-Select appropriate methods, outputs, and resources to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. -Lead customer meetings and the presentation of tender proposals. -Stay up to date with industry developments, technologies, and standards in ground engineering. -Manage and coordinate the preparation of tender price schedules in accordance with the pricing strategy and risk assessments. Ensure that cost plans are accurate and reflect the project requirements and risk profile. -Contribute to business strategy, pricing activities, and the development of marketing materials (brochures, website content, data sheets). -Prepare preliminary ground improvement designs and supporting documents during the pre-construction phase, under senior engineering review -Support delivery teams by reviewing technical and pre-construction information, including site visits and client meetings. -Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, suppliers) to build long-term relationships and encourage repeat business. -Review tender documentation (drawings, specifications, site investigations, etc.) to evaluate all relevant information. -Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and proactively identify project risks. -Ensure compliance with business strategy and authority levels. -Maintain accurate reporting of commercial pipeline through CRM (Salesforce). -Ensure smooth handover of bid documentation to operational and commercial teams. -Lead the bid process, ensuring timely and effective delivery of tender submissions. -Promote a strong safety culture (WORKSAFE HOMESAFE) and environmental responsibility (LESS IS MORE MENARD). -Respond to post-tender queries and provide technical input to stakeholders.

What You Bring

-The role requires some experience and practical technical/engineering knowledge of ground engineering processes. -Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, GeolSoc) and a valid CSCS card is a plus. -Strategic and creative thinking to identify opportunities and challenge conventional methods. -Strong attention to detail and the confidence to advise senior management when necessary. -Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are necessary. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous. -The individual should have a desire to continuously pursue innovation and development, with a focus on the customer and the ground engineering business. -A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field. -Full UK Driving Licence is required. -Willingness to gain hands-on experience on-site as part of training and development.
