Tasks
-He/she ensures the optimal collaboration of Plant Procurement with Global Category Management and Regional Procurement to achieve best procurement result -The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the respective plant, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the Plant Procurement team. -Through collaboration with customers, provides purchasing decisions based on market and conditions, product specifications, supplier strategy -The Strategic Buyer executes on relevant Procurement strategies, measures, and activities in close cooperation with Procurement Plant Lead. -Provide exceptional customer service by proactively contacting customer to resolve issues -Creates, maintains master service agreement after negotiating cost, terms and conditions with suppliers

-Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems -730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements. -Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources -Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, and the analysis and reporting of financial data -Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong -Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment; eligibility will be required at the time of Hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. -Proficiency in Technology Skills — Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP; Spreadsheet software: Microsoft Excel; Office Suite software: Microsoft Office -Stress Tolerance — Job requires accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations -Professional certifications (CPM) -Proficiency in Technology Skills —Oracle E-Business Suite, SAP; Spreadsheet software: Microsoft Excel; Office Suite software: Microsoft Office -Communication skills – the ability to summarize complex situations into actionable items for upper management -Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution -This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. -3 years previous work experience in purchasing/procurement, supply chain, and/or sales -Production and Processing — Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
