  • Coordinate future technology requirements across the breadth of MDA and with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, the IC, and OGAs.
  • Lead, develop, and coordinate MDA vision and strategies to support the Warfighter, including coordinating with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, CCMDs, Intel Community (IC), Other Governmental Agencies (OGA), national labs, Industry and international partners
  • Define and evaluate Missile Defense System (MDS) capability trade space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable Provide Prime Contractor proposal technical evaluation and analysis
  • Support activities of the Architecture Design Team; provides, develops and delivers briefings addressing applicable trade study efforts; provides comment and review to work products developed by other Working Group members
  • Support the development of Initial Requirements Documents, Architecture Requirements Packages, and other systems engineering artifacts related to the MDS, as applicable
  • Lead and coordinate the development of architecture requirements, development, and analysis in support of Service and Combatant Commands (CCMD) needs.
  • Provide Systems Engineering expertise and knowledge
  • Support the development of alternative architecture concepts addressing projected capability gaps, real world threats, and intelligence community threat estimates
  • Support the Architecture Design Team to scope and define trade study methodologies, measures and deliverables
  • Coordinate trade study related activities and work products with teammates across the Architecture Design Team and external MDA stakeholders as applicable
  • Scope, execute and document the results of MDS architecture trade studies as a member of the Architecture Design Team

  • Familiarity with Air Force Missile Defense Systems (GMD/UEWRs/ABAD, etc.)
  • Familiarity with missile defense and/or DOD processes and procedures
  • Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with Army Missile Defense Systems (THAAD/PATRIOT/IBCS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Navy Missile Defense Systems (CEC/Aegis, etc.)
  • Proficient in the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Having or having eligibility for a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • Working knowledge of design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements from a Systems Engineering perspective
  • Bachelors degree in a STEM program and 7+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or related work
  • Expertise in RF/Overhead sensors/optics (EO/IR)/photonics/EW/EA/EP also a plus
