Manager – Cyber Network Security

Description

• Develop and implement strategies aligned with Cyber Defence objectives, ensuring robust security policies and procedures.
• Provide inspirational leadership through team development, performance management, and resource allocation.
• Drive adoption of new security technologies and proactively strengthen defenses against emerging threats.
• Oversee incident management, troubleshooting, and risk mitigation for security platforms.
• Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and availability of security platforms and configurations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to deliver operational insights and design feedback.
• Lead and enhance Network Security operations, including threat management, firewalls, proxies, WAFs, and email security.

Requirements

• Preferred experience with Akamai and/or Azure Web Application Firewall, as well as managing Azure or AWS environments and access control models; incident response and coordination skills valued, especially with organizations similar to AGL.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams while balancing operational and project priorities.
• Strong technical expertise in network security practices, including firewalls, proxies, WAFs, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Expert in applying, maintaining, and improving network security practices, including configuration and use of firewalls, servers, and routers, as well as analyzing traffic using network management tools.
• Hands-on experience with cloud environments (Azure/AWS), Zscaler solutions, and web application security.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and risk mitigation.
