Overview

Assist lab techs on HVAC test setups, troubleshooting, and rework during summer internship.

Tasks

-Troubleshoots and rectifies defects in test units during the testing process. -Collaborates with testing engineers and technicians to coordinate area activities. -Confirms the accuracy of unit assembly according to work orders and engineering standards. -Fulfills job assignments promptly to meet testing schedules. -Participates in testing units to ensure they align with engineering specifications. -Engages in activities like wiring, operating recovery/vacuum machines, and recharging refrigeration systems, as well as performing brazing and assembly tasks as necessary.

What You Bring

-Aids in constructing test setups and other related projects. -Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. -40 hours per week availability during the Summer of 2024, not to exceed 480 hours total. -Requires frequent visits to manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure. -Basic refrigeration knowledge -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Lift up to 50 lbs., climbing, stooping, sitting, or standing for prolonged periods.
