The Role

Coordinate permits, locates, work orders and make‑ready processes for Nova Scotia Power.

Tasks

-Also, process and calculate attachment fees related to contributed lines, credit in lieu of overhead, and developer rebates. -Submit and monitor HRM/DOT permit requests, locates for water, sewer, gas, Aliant, Rogers, 360 Network, Environmental permits, engineering approval, issuing of joint use Aliant and CATV forms, creation of work orders when required, and release/booking for final staking when to-dos are completed. -You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. -You will need to manage the quoting process of work orders. -Be responsible for Make Ready and the Aliant work processes and month end invoicing to Aliant and CATV Companies. -Request quotes from external contractors for services such as tree trimming & Grade 1 Assessments when required, quoting these services, and releasing the work at various stages in the work order cycle. -Check and update customer easements through Property Online, follow the planned outage process, and ensure account, project and task numbers are accurate for the work being performed. -Manage underground locate requirements, such as updating work orders with diagrams, returning completed forms to customers, and submitting internal & external cable locates when required.

What You Bring

-The successful candidate must have knowledge of the Aliant Work Request and Joint Use process, Make Ready process, job pricing/estimation and financial calculations for contributed line rebates or equivalent experience would be considered. -Experience with as well as familiarity with NS Power's processes for distribution line work management, make ready third-party attachment, and contributed line rebates would be considered an asset. -You have a proven track record of providing exceptional service to customers. -Strong mathematical and analytical skills with great attention to detail as well as proven organizational skills are required. -You have experience communicating complex information to customers in writing, phone and in person while maintaining a positive customer experience. -The ideal candidate is able to demonstrate expertise in using NS Power's work management system (Maximo), Orcom CIS, Infoview, SharePoint, ViryaNet, Smartsheet, Oracle, Adobe suite, Property Online, Info-Excavation or equivalent work management experience. -A high level of proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel would be required. -You must be flexible and be available for overtime during peak seasons and after hour emergency service restoration. -Grade XII education and/or a certificate, degree in business from a post-secondary institution and have a minimum five years’ experience working in a customer service and operational environment with experience coordinating internal and external resources to meet productivity standards.
