Tasks

-Preparation of electrical construction cost estimates -Perform electrical design calculations for electrical loads and panel schedules -Coordinate with architects, mechanical/plumbing engineers and other disciplines for equipment power needs and sizing electrical distribution -Preparation of project specifications -Participate in project meetings internally and externally with clients -Support our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team specifically working on large scale HVAC design. -Participate on project teams in an active production role -Coordination and verification of as-built drawings -Coordinate with specialists for fire alarm, technology and lighting design as required by project scope of work -Perform quality work that promotes client retention -Responsible for the development of reports and design documents, including electrical design plans, equipment selection, solar system sizing, and power analyses.

What You Bring

-Superior verbal and written communication skills -EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months required -Firm understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes -Daily interaction and collaboration on cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines -Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD) -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus) -Understanding of the National Electrical Code, other NFPA codes/standards, and energy codes -Building Information Modeling (BIM – Autodesk Revit) experience is a plus -Power Analyses (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, device coordination) in SKM or ETAP -3+ years of design experience in electrical engineering -Electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design experience -The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively - The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
