Financial Reporting Manager

Tasks

-Prepare the quarterly press release. -Prepare accounting memos for complex accounting treatments to ensure compliance with IFRS. -Prepare the Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) document. -Perform detailed quarterly balance sheet reviews of all divisions. -Liaise with external auditors on matters pertaining to the audited consolidated financial statements and other disclosure reports. -Provide support to business units in addressing complex accounting matters. -Perform a first level detailed review of the consolidation and other top-side journal entries prepared at Corporate level on a monthly basis. -Assist preparation of the monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements (and accompanying notes therein for the quarter and year-end periods) -Prepare financial statements for the company’s pension plans in accordance with applicable accounting standards and liaise with external auditors to facilitate the completion of the audit of such statements. -Perform detailed review of complex accounting journal entries and schedules such as those relating to business combinations (PPA’s), pension accounting, and financial instruments. -Provide guidance on IFRS treatment and benchmark against peers of non-standard business actions taken by Mattr. -Perform benchmark analysis of the MD&A and Press Release with peers.

What You Bring

-Strong problem solving and time management skills are a must; and -Holding Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a must. -Experience in financial reporting, preferably within large public companies, including preparation of MD&A, press releases, and financial statements. -CPA, CA, or equivalent designation is a must. -Knowledge of income tax accounting and OneStream would be an asset. -Previous experience in manufacturing - preferred. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Good working experience with foreign currency consolidation issues. -Experience in dealing with complex accounting issues. -Advanced financial reporting and accounting knowledge under IFRS. -Superior business writing skills. -Proficient in handling large-scale consolidation issues. -Minimumg 6 to 10 years related experience. -Previous experience in public companies is a must.
