The Role

Overview

Creates and updates construction schedules, conducts Earned Value and risk analysis.

Tasks

-Analyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. using schedule fragments. -Produce reports required by the contract specifications and project management team. -Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas. -Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions. -Interact with scheduling consultant in schedule reviews, claims analysis, etc. Perform monthly cash flow projections and analysis. -Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer. -Train and lead classes and facilitate learning of the scheduling systems amongst the project staff. -Engage with trade partners for development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedules. -Participate in division training seminars. -Forecast impacts of variances to aid in the management of the schedule and implement controls to avoid claims. -Communicate effectively with all field staff members, scheduling consultant and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates. -Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and appropriate division personnel. Take necessary actions to mitigate possible risk. -The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity. -Utilize earned value management principles and experience to facilitate development of the project schedule, develop work breakdown structures, evaluate the performance of the project, and analyze budget and/or resource variances from the baseline plan. -Perform workforce projections and analysis.

What You Bring

-Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and work breakdown structures (WBS) methodologies, principles, and applications. -Proficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing, and reporting on project schedules. -Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc. -5+ years of construction scheduling experience. -Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. -Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. -General knowledge of construction means and methods. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Familiarity with scheduling software. -Experience with Federal Project contracts/scheduling. -Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate. -Physical Exam (if applicable) -Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering. -Can effectively organize the day based around changing priorities and tasks. -Background Checks for Badging/Security Clearances (if applicable) -Verification of Work Authorization and Employment Eligibility
