Tasks

- Embedded Firmware design and development for Battery Management Systems for UPS and Storage applications. - Design, development, testing, debugging, documenting and launch to mass production BMS & Battery Packs that meetregulatory and safety standards, and reliability requirements. - Play the role of technical lead for given project scope and thus coordinate with different stakeholders (both technical andproject management) - Technically lead the project in terms of requirement clarifications, prioritization of technical activities, design reviews, codereviews, test plan reviews and guidance for testing - Handle the release activities (configuration management, issue tracking and closure) - Act as technical SPOC for project specific reviews (safety, cybersecurity, stage gate, regulatory,…) - Work with respective hardware lead(s) and other sub-system technical leads to ensure proper integration andfunctionality Competencies Responsibilities: - Execute firmware related activities for the product which covers (but not limited to) following aspects: - Requirement elicitation and documentation - Document firmware designs using Flowcharts, State Machine diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and others - Implementation of code related to identified design - Unit testing of the developed code - Integration testing of FW with HW on bench/ battery pack - Analysis and issue resolution of defects detected as part of unit testing, DVT, production and/ or field - Documentation of FW test specification and reports - Reviews - Work closely with peer FW engineers, FW architect and HW engineers to bring up boards or support in HW validation - Derive and review test plans/ test cases for DVP, integration tests - Follow AGILE principles for fast and efficient firmware development - Ensure firmware configuration management and issue tracking/ closure - Technical reviews: architecture/ design, code, test plan, test reports, release notes - Bring out the best practices for firmware development and adapt continuous improvement processes Responsibilities: - Execute firmware related activities for the product which covers (but not limited to) following aspects: - Requirement elicitation and documentation - Document firmware designs using Flowcharts, State Machine diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and others - Implementation of code related to identified design - Unit testing of the developed code - Integration testing of FW with HW on bench/ battery pack - Analysis and issue resolution of defects detected as part of unit testing, DVT, production and/ or field - Documentation of FW test specification and reports - Reviews - Work closely with peer FW engineers, FW architect and HW engineers to bring up boards or support in HW validation - Derive and review test plans/ test cases for DVP, integration tests - Follow AGILE principles for fast and efficient firmware development - Ensure firmware configuration management and issue tracking/ closure - Technical reviews: architecture/ design, code, test plan, test reports, release notes - Bring out the best practices for firmware development and adapt continuous improvement processes

Whom do you work with - FW and HW leads/ team members - V&V engineers - Project Manager - External teams (customers/ vendors/ validation agencies) KEY CONSIDERATIONS: - Customer first attitude - Act with Speed - Obsessed with Innovation - Learn Everyday Qualifications - BS or higher in Electronics/ Electrical/ Computer Science Engineering, with practical experience - Strong software fundamentals including architectural design, algorithm development, data structures, code modularity,maintainability, debugging - 15+ years of experience in embedded product development (specifically FW) - Has worked on the design of Battery Management Systems (HW/ FW) - Knowledge of cybersecurity standards e.g. IEC62443 - Experience with FW signing, cryptographic algorithm usage - Scripting experience using Python/ Shell/ others - Knowledge/ Practical experience with Functional Safety design and implementation (ISO26262/ IEC61508) - Familiar with typical firmware development environment: IDE, code editors, configuration management, unit testing,debuggers - Preferable with a master's degree in embedded systems or related field - Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-driven - Demonstrated excellence in analytic, strategic and critical thinking - Strong communication skills - Being able to “think out of the box” - Demonstrated ability to drive issue resolution with speed - Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines - Experience working with diverse global team members. - Any prior experience as Technical Lead (leading at least 2/3 members technically).
