Tasks

-Provide feedback and training to design, field, and service teams on QAQC best practices. -Ensure final QAQC documentation package (as-builts, test results, warranty information, and inspection reports) is complete and delivered. -Conduct performance testing, including IV curve tracing and system monitoring checks, to validate system efficiency. -Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders regarding system quality, performance, and maintenance needs. -Perform annual system inspections, ensuring PV modules, racking, inverters, and electrical connections remain in good condition. -Monitor workmanship quality and identify corrective actions where necessary. -Support commissioning and project management teams with ongoing QAQC updates. -Compile QAQC documentation for client handover, compliance audits, and long-term service records. -Support the development team with technical QAQC input during permitting and regulatory review processes. -Work closely with project managers, engineers, installers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues. -Ensure adherence to safety codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local regulations. -Review preliminary and final design drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards. -Provide feedback to engineering teams on potential quality or compliance risks during the design phase. -Lead project closeout inspections and create punch lists for outstanding items. -Coordinate with service teams to address warranty claims, repairs, or system upgrades. -Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and maintenance reports with photographic evidence. -Verify equipment specifications, datasheets, and vendor submittals against project requirements. -Verify performance metrics align with manufacturer and project standards. -Conduct document control checks, ensuring design revisions are properly reviewed and approved. -Ensure quality standards are incorporated into engineering deliverables and project documentation. -Perform inspections of solar installations, including mechanical, structural, and electrical components. -Conduct functional testing of solar PV systems, including string testing, insulation resistance, IV curve tracing, and inverter startup. -Confirm that all corrective actions and punch list items are resolved before project handover. -Identify preventive maintenance needs and corrective actions to maintain long-term reliability. -Support final customer acceptance and sign-off on project completion. -Document findings and provide maintenance reports to customers. -Provide system orientation to the customer, explaining equipment, monitoring platforms, and O&M procedures. -Conduct customer walkthroughs to review system performance, workmanship, and warranty standards. -Document deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented. -Maintain customer relationships by providing technical support and ensuring continued satisfaction. -Verify compliance with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.

What You Bring

-Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, electrical systems, and construction environments. -Strong understanding of design-phase, construction, commissioning, closeout, and O&M QAQC processes. -NABCEP certification or equivalent is a plus. -Knowledge of solar PV systems, components, and applicable codes (NEC, OSHA, IEC). -Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. -Combination of office-based design review, field-based construction inspection, customer walkthroughs, and annual O&M visits. -2+ years of experience in solar PV design review, installation, inspection, quality assurance, or maintenance. -High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, renewable energy, or related field preferred. -Requires PPE compliance and adherence to safety protocols -Familiarity with testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, thermal imaging cameras, and IV curve tracers. -Strong attention to detail and ability to identify design, workmanship, and long-term reliability issues.
